About NTTKD

NTTKD was founded in 1999 by Nicola Turecek and her father Mike.

Mike Turecek, now a 6th Degree Black Belt, first took his daughter to class when she was just 5 years old.  The pair have trained together ever since and now are the proud instructors of multiple classes in and around Caerphilly. 

Nicola is currently eight times World Champion, five times European Champion and holds countless national and regional titles for her outstanding abilities.  Her achievements have inspired hundreds of students under her to go on to tournament success and she is passionate about helping everyone achieve their potential.

Miss Turecek is driven by perfection, constantly driving her own standards to new heights and creating an environment that inspires those around her to do the same.  She takes great pride in her club and each student that trains in Taekwondo, especially in the Black Belts who continue training and go on to become champions, instructors, and people who give back to their art.

At NTTKD, we believe that Taekwondo is more than just a physical activity. It is a way of life that emphasizes discipline, respect, and self-improvement. Our philosophy is to instil these values in our students and help them become better versions of themselves.
